It is better to keep away from oils like sunflower, soy, corn, rice bran as they all had mostly Omega 6 fatty acids and no Omega 3., which could cause inflammation.
Some of the other types of oils that one can avoid are:
1. Hydrogenated vegetable fat known as vanaspati in India
It is a vegetable oil that has undergone the process of ‘Hydrogenation’, i.e. where the oil is treated with hydrogen under high temperature and pressure, the output of which is something like butter that is spreadable. It creates considerable amount of 'trans fats', which can damage the healthy functioning of hearts.
2. Palmolein oil
Even though 'Palm oil' in it's pure from is a good fat like coconut oil, it's negativity to the health starts when consumed in a refined, bleached and deodorized form. The trouble is 'palm oil' is rampantly used in bakeries and restaurants as they top the old batch with new one and continue to do so with old palmolein in their frying pans.
3. Refined vegetable oils
Vegetable oils are extracted using predominantly a solvent, hexane, a chemical used in solvent extraction of seed oils Hexane makes the oil extraction easy and fast as it is not an ingredient but a processing agent, only. Oil companies are
not mandated to mention the residual hexane in their products.Even FDA is no exception to this.
