These cooking oils could be harmful to your health
crossorigin="anonymous"></script>
It is better to keep away from oils like sunflower, soy, corn, rice bran as they all had mostly Omega 6 fatty acids and no Omega 3., which could cause inflammation.
Some of the other types of oils that one can avoid are:
1. Hydrogenated vegetable fat known as vanaspati in India
It is a vegetable oil that has undergone the process of ‘Hydrogenation’, i.e. where the oil is treated with hydrogen under high temperature and pressure, the output of which is something like butter that is spreadable. It creates considerable amount of 'trans fats', which can damage the healthy functioning of hearts.
2. Palmolein oil
Even though 'Palm oil' in it's pure from is a good fat like coconut oil, it's negativity to the health starts when consumed in a refined, bleached and deodorized form. The trouble is 'palm oil' is rampantly used in bakeries and restaurants as they top the old batch with new one and continue to do so with old palmolein in their frying pans.
3. Refined vegetable oils
Vegetable oils are extracted using predominantly a solvent, hexane, a chemical used in solvent extraction of seed oils Hexane makes the oil extraction easy and fast as it is not an ingredient but a processing agent, only. Oil companies are
not mandated to mention the residual hexane in their products.Even FDA is no exception to this.

Indians can sell their data to get better healthcare and easier loans! Nandan Nilekani
At a time when the Supreme Court of India is seized with issues as data privacy and surveillance and the likely consequences they may have on the Indians due to the central government's insistence to go overboard on the 'Aadhaar biometric identification system', there is a piece of sage advice coming from Nandan Nilekeni, the chief architect of it to the effect that we the Indians should utilise this opportunity to sell our personal data in exchange for getting a better 'health care and cheaper loans' .

According to him, monetising our personal data, with which we are already rich would pave the way us to become economically rich!
Here's my personal reaction and views:
Yes, Mr. Nilekani! Your advice is timely to bring down the inequality in the Indian system where only a few rich can get the bank loans and get away from the country. May be this would neutralize the scams being seen only at the top of the pyramid and perhaps provide ways and means for the rest to make an attempt to become rich.

After all, we need to give up something to get something!

Headlines:Supreme Court extends Aadhaar linking indefinitely
According to the flash news appearing in the TV and media, the Supreme Court is reported to have declared mandatory #Aadhaar linking with the banks accounts and mobile phones would stand extended indefinitely until it pronounces its judgement.
The five-judge Constitution bench of the Supreme Court, headed by Chief Justice of India Dipak Misra, further went on to say the government cannot insist for mandatory #Aadhaar.
This is expected to bring relief for several thousands of account holders who otherwise could have complied with KYC norms but are being bothered with nags and headaches!

Supreme Court of India allows 'living wills' for terminally ill
The Supreme Court of India today, the March 9, 2018 delivered a landmark judgement, which allowed the individuals to draw up "living wills". The implication of this is 'passive euthanasia' is permitted, with which it is now possible to withdraw medical treatment to hasten a person's death. However, the court also made it clear that this can be done only as per the strict guidelines are adhered to.
A living will sets out a patient's wishes in regard to how they want to be treated if they are terminally ill.
The Judges while delivering the judgement had observed that the right to die was a fundamental right and an advance directive by a person in the form of a living will could be approved by the courts.

Passive euthanasia: What it means?
When a patient dies because the doctors either do or do not carryout something to keep a patient alive or stop something that would keep them alive. They might include:
- switching off life-support machines
- disconnecting a feeding tube
- not carrying out a life-extending operation
- not administering life-extending drugs
